Room Leader Job Description

A reputable nursery in London seeks a highly skilled and experienced Early Years professional to join their team as a Room Leader. Located between Clapham and Stockwell, the nursery provides high-quality childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support and lead a team of early years professionals to ensure the highest standards of care and education are met.
  • Implement and maintain effective policies and procedures to guarantee the safety and well-being of children.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that promotes learning through play and encourages children to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to distribute staff and resources efficiently, maintaining ratios while supporting other rooms.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with the nursery team, parents, and children through excellent communication skills.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare or equivalent.
  • At least 12 months of experience working in an Early Years setting, preferably as a supervisor or room leader.
  • Proven understanding of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding, and EYFS principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage staff and resources effectively.
