Actuarial Associate Consultant

The Emerald Group is seeking an experienced Actuarial Associate Consultant to join our Casualty team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to various aspects of actuarial work, including insurance and reinsurance case pricing and year-end reserve reviews.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pricing and monitoring of individual risks to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Responsible for the reserving of relevant classes to maintain financial stability.
  • Perform market reviews to parameterise pricing models and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Prepare and communicate results to underwriters and senior management, providing clear and concise technical information.
Requirements:
  • A qualified or nearly-qualified actuary with London Market casualty pricing experience.
  • A 2:1 degree or higher in a numerate/mathematical subject.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and ideally with experience of using VBA. Knowledge of R, SQL, and C# is also an advantage.
  • Ability to review, analyse, and present technical information concisely and effectively.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people from all areas of the business.
