Restaurant Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Butlin's. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our buffet restaurant, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving business results.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of staff during shifts, ensuring that key tasks and objectives are met.
- Drive add-on sales and promotions, and support your team to do the same.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure that propositions are always available for guests.
- Consistently deliver a quality guest experience in line with brand and venue guidelines.
- Capture and address guest feedback, monitoring NPS and taking appropriate actions.
- Provide accurate rota planning three weeks in advance using our in-house roster system.
- Take accountability for the accuracy of closing the system.
- Coach and develop the team to meet departmental goals, championing Butlin's Values and Leadership Behaviours.
- Ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time when creating rotas.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the resort, with other resorts, and with Butlin's central support teams.
- Support the people aspects of the department, managing tasks from onboarding to the full employee life cycle.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced leader who can drive business results and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will have previous leadership experience in a similar restaurant or volume-driven F&B environment, and strong guest-facing skills, handling a variety of queries and resolving complaints directly.
You will be experienced in generating new opportunities through sales and promotions, and adapting to working with multi-skilled teams to support various business areas based on guest demand.
Demonstrable experience in leading teams to success is crucial, including managing performance, coaching, delivering training, and setting standards while role-modelling expected behaviours.
Strong communication skills at all levels and the ability to manage multiple priorities while adapting to changing requirements are also key.
