About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care and Support Worker to join our team at Southern Housing. As a Care and Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents and service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver care and support services to residents and service users, as identified in their person-centred care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote independence, rights, choices, and inclusion in the community.
  • Summon professional assistance in emergency situations.
  • Practice within the criteria set out in the Care Quality Commission standards, ensuring residents have up-to-date care plans and risk assessments that reflect their individual needs and wishes.
Requirements
  • 5 GCSE passes at grade C or above (or equivalent Grade 9-5) including Maths and English.
  • The ability to listen and communicate effectively.
  • Good written communication and numeracy skills.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Able to work both as part of a team and unsupervised.
  • Knowledge of personal boundaries.
  • Understanding of the requirements of CQC.
