About the Role

Galaxy Personnel is a leading construction company based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. We are currently seeking a skilled Construction Machinery Specialist to join our team. As a Construction Machinery Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy plant equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition at all times.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in plant maintenance and repair, with experience in testing, maintaining, and servicing heavy plant, pumps, and small power tools. You will also be required to conduct site visits to repair plant and equipment, keeping accurate maintenance records and reporting any defaults.

In this role, you will work closely with our team to ensure that our fleet of vehicles and equipment are well-maintained and running efficiently. If you have a strong ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues and a passion for working on heavy plant equipment, we want to hear from you

Responsibilities
  • Test, maintain, and service heavy plant, pumps, and small power tools
  • Conduct site visits to repair plant and equipment
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and report any defaults
  • Maintain company fleet
What You'll Need
  • Experience in plant maintenance and repair (NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent)
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills for complex mechanical issues
  • Flexible approach to tasks and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
