Job Summary

A fire engineer with expertise in sustainable solutions is needed to join our global team at Arcadis. As a Senior Fire Engineer, you will work on building sector projects, developing fire safety strategies and conducting means of escape analysis.

About the Role

This role involves working predominantly within the building sector, although opportunities to support other sectors may arise from time-to-time. You will be responsible for developing fire safety strategy reports, including calculations of evacuation times, escape routes, and exit widths.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing Fire Safety Strategy reports
  • Means of Escape analysis, including calculations of evacuation times, escape routes, and exit widths
  • Assessment and understanding of British fire safety legislation and standards applied to buildings
  • Risk Based Interpretation and Application of fire safety documents and Codes of Practice
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a suitable engineering degree (e.g., Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering) and qualifications recognised by a professional engineering body. Ideally, you should be a Chartered Engineer or working towards the Chartership.
