Job Title: Aviation Compliance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Compliance Engineer to join our team at Volantes Technical Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of our aviation clients with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the day-to-day administration of the Compliance Department, ensuring seamless operations and efficient management of compliance-related tasks.
  2. Ensure oversight of approvals held in accordance with the organisation's exposition and associated supplements, guaranteeing adherence to regulatory standards.
  3. Assist Compliance Managers in implementing the audit programme for all activities, ensuring the organisation remains compliant with regulatory approvals and standards.
  4. Perform audits as defined above, adhering to the standards specified by the audit plan and reporting such audits using the appropriate recording medium.
  5. Carry out administrative functions, such as staff approval reviews, training file updates, completion of reports, and general departmental admin duties associated with the running of a regulatory compliance system.
  6. Assist in promoting the organisation's Safety & Risk Management / Occurrence System to ensure its effectiveness.
  7. Where delegated, monitor subcontracted activities through audit or desktop review, ensuring the subcontractor is capable and, where necessary, approved by virtue of inclusion into the Compliance System.
Requirements:
  1. Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to compile written reports to a high standard.
  2. Be conversant with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  3. Capable of working independently on own initiative or as part of a team.
  4. To be proactive with the ability to meet timescales.
  5. Possess the ability for attention to detail commensurate with the job role.
  6. Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the organisation.
  7. Previous experience in an auditing role, preferably aerospace but not essential (as training will be given).
  8. Possess a general understanding of maintenance requirements to ensure compliance.
  9. Be eligible to hold a UK security clearance.
  10. A full driving licence is required.
  11. A current valid passport is required.
Advantageous:
  1. Be conversant with EASA regulations, such as Part 145.
  2. Have a working understanding of other regulatory standards such as Part 21, MRP, and ISO 9001 to which the organisation holds approval for.
  3. Previous experience working within a Compliance environment.
