Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpentry Lecturer to join our team at South Staffordshire College. As a Carpentry Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in Carpentry and Joinery programs, ensuring they meet and exceed their target grades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging Carpentry and Joinery lessons to students of various skill levels.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve their skills.
  • Develop and implement innovative assessment methods to inspire learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in Carpentry and Joinery education.

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional qualification in Carpentry or a related field.
  • Industry experience in Carpentry and Joinery, with a passion for sharing knowledge with others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support students.
  • A teaching qualification is not essential, but willingness to achieve one is required.
