About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team at a leading manufacturing company. As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in assembling and fitting a wide range of metallic components in the production of new machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit metallic components using a variety of hand and air tools, with training provided.
  • Read and follow clear engineering drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Work in a clean, well-ordered workshop with good quality tools and equipment provided.
  • Collaborate with a great team to achieve high-quality results and uphold safe practices.
  • Contribute to the development of new machinery and equipment, with opportunities for technical growth and advancement.
Requirements
  • Confidence in using a variety of hand tools, including socket sets, spanners, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
  • Problem-solving skills to address mechanical issues related to mechanical fitting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Previous experience as a mechanic, mechanical assembler, or mechanical fitter, or completion of a college course in mechanics or car maintenance.
