Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at Multitech Site Services Ltd. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and detailed estimates for electrical works on temporary sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend site meetings with clients to understand their electrical requirements and specifications.
- Interpret client specifications and produce scope of works and quotations.
- Undertake take-offs and pricing up works, including electrical load calculations, cable sizing, and mark-up drawings.
- Communicate with suppliers and wholesalers to obtain prices for electrical materials and services.
- Present and discuss offers with clients on site, addressing any technical questions they may have.
- Follow up on all tenders submitted to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Utilize strong negotiation skills to secure electrical contracts and contribute to the company's growth.
- Liaise with the operations team to ensure seamless project handovers and new project initiations.
Requirements:
- Formal electrical qualification, such as a trade electrician, engineering, or electrical building services degree.
- Familiarity with enquiry documents and prequalification documents/requirements.
- Desirable: on-site experience and understanding of electrical mains, sub-mains connections, and cable sizing.
- Understanding of plumbing and experience using different types of contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
- Negotiation experience and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft 365.
