Our Industrial Operations function is responsible for creating thousands of vehicles every day, uniting manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain teams to think beyond today's challenges and build the cars of tomorrow.
As a Manufacturing Undergraduate, you'll join our industry-leading programme and gain a wide range of skills and practical experience working on projects fundamental to our global success. You'll be placed within a primary team, developing a deep expertise in your area of focus, which could be Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) or Solihull Operations.
Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) Team
Our GME team designs, installs, and commissions manufacturing facilities that build modern luxury vehicles. You'll collaborate with product engineering, procurement, and manufacturing operations to implement new products, processes, and equipment, working across core technologies like body construction, paint, final assembly, propulsion, stampings, logistics, and construction engineering.
Solihull Operations
Our Solihull Operations cover key manufacturing areas across the West Midlands. You'll rotate through different phases of the manufacturing and production journey, spending six months at a time focusing on areas like Current Manufacturing Engineering and Quality and Production Supervision. You'll gain technical and leadership experience, working on projects spanning new model introductions, quality improvement, cost reduction, and logistics operations.
Your Development
Our undergraduate programmes are designed to set you up for a lifetime of success, developing your curiosity and creativity over 12 months. You'll be surrounded by an innovative and dedicated team that cares about your development, building essential business skills like resilience, personal branding, and self-care. You'll gain valuable industry insights, shadowing opportunities, and comprehensive training in health and safety and people management.
What You'll Need
To join our Industrial Operations: Manufacturing Undergraduate programme, you'll need to be on track to achieve at least a degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, material engineering, or aeronautical or automotive engineering. You should be a skilled problem-solver with a curiosity for understanding business challenges and a drive to deliver innovative solutions.
