Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Senior AME Engineer to join our EU & Africa JIT and Structures AME team at Lear Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing automated solutions into Lear JIT, Trim, or Structures facilities, providing SME knowledge within a particular AME domain.

The Senior AME Engineer will work closely with Leadership teams from Central AME, Operations, and Program Management to deliver high-quality results. They will develop robust business cases from a technical and cost perspective, present them to Senior Management, and coach regional team members and share knowledge of technology domains within their area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement automated solutions into Lear JIT, Trim, or Structures facilities.
  • Provide SME knowledge within a particular AME domain.
  • Support the execution of multiple regional projects to defined standards in accordance with Lear's AME Roadmap.
  • Work on various projects tasked with implementing automated solutions into Lear JIT, Trim, or Structures facilities.
  • Define the timing and execution plan into any given facility.
  • Flag any risks or budget deviations to senior management.
  • Devise solutions to ensure minimal downtime or operational disruption during execution.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a comparable discipline.
  • 5+ years' work experience in a related field or position.
  • Fluency in English language, both written and verbal.
  • Project management experience with budget control.
  • Experience working in the deployment of AME projects across multiple countries and facilities.
  • Understanding of CE certification requirements.
  • Expert knowledge in at least one of the following fields: welding, maintenance, robotics, automation, EOL systems, project management.
