Overview
Graham Group is seeking a skilled Yard Services Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the Yard Services Manager and play a crucial role in planning and installing temporary site electrics across various locations. This permanent position is based in Dromore but requires travel to sites throughout the UK and Ireland.

Job Summary
The Yard Services Electrician will assist with planning and installation of temporary site electrics, liaising with site teams to determine the most economical solutions.

Responsibilities

  1. Review local internal power supplies for temporary power solutions, and coordinate with the Graham Group manager/engineer team.
  2. Install cabled and wireless internet systems with Graham Group's IT department, including BT portable 5G and Starlink satellite systems.
  3. Design temporary site installations, including cable sizing and installation methods, for a range of setups from single offices to large multi-site compounds.
  4. Install LV panels, sub-boards, floodlighting, and V transformers.
  5. Plan for future adjustments to site boundaries, hut relocations, and cable route alterations.
  6. Maintain PAT testing schedules and perform Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) for offices, buildings, and site installations.
  7. Collaborate with sub-contractors for network mains supplies, street lighting, and CCTV installations.
  8. Provide maintenance to Dromore yard office buildings, canteens, and workshops, including PAT testing and equipment repairs.

Essential Technical Competencies

  1. Proven experience within the construction industry
  2. Knowledge of construction industry standards and supplier networks
  3. Strong aptitude in sourcing, procurement, and market analysis
  4. J.I.B Approved Electrician, NVQ Level 3, BS Testing and Inspection, BS 18th Edition (Amendment 2), BS PAT testing
  5. Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and travel nationwide
  6. All work must comply with BS standards and be fully tested and certified
