Trainee Machinist Job Description

As a Trainee Machinist at Rubicon Recruitment Agency, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing team, with opportunities to progress and gain valuable experience in the Sherborne area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual and CNC-based machinery for metal processing
  • Process steel to customers' requirements and tolerances, working within our quality system to ensure full traceability of customer orders
  • Operate forklifts, Combi lifts, and cranes safely and in a controlled manner
  • Load and offload plate and parts from machines
  • Identify and locate different steel products using measuring equipment
Requirements:
  • Competency in reading drawings, orders, and following verbal instructions
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
