Job Opportunity for a Trainee Property Manager

A great opportunity has arisen to join a boutique Property Company based in a trendy area of South West London as their Trainee Property Manager, with a view to becoming the company's Property Manager as quickly as possible. This role is unique, as the company is not a high street estate agent.

While previous property management or property experience is not necessary, training will be provided to ensure success in this position.

Company Profile

As a Trainee Property Manager in their team, you will receive hands-on training from experienced professionals in the industry. You will assist in managing a portfolio of between 70 – 100 properties from the outset. You will carry out your own inspections and have the opportunity to attend properties when issues arise. You will frequently liaise with landlords, tenants, and contractors.

Duties of the Trainee Property Manager

  • Manage a portfolio of 120 properties
  • Carry out all inspections
  • Deal with maintenance issues
  • Serve legal notices, section 21's and section 8's
  • Chase rent arrears
  • Deal with all change of occupancies
  • Maintain good relationships with all contractors
  • Keep landlords and tenants up to date throughout tenancy

Character Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a personable yet strong character, a good understanding of Property Management/Lettings Administration, and a commitment to their job. They must be willing to go above and beyond, be a team player, have good communication skills both verbally and in writing, and have a desire to learn and build a career within Property Management.

Package

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6:00pm

Salary: Between £22,000 – £25,000pa depending on experience

This role is centered around managing a portfolio of properties, so the chosen Trainee Property Manager must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a support role, work as a team player, and possess the customer service skills required to be proficient in all aspects of the job.
