Job Duties:
  • Provide support to students in a school setting, promoting a safe and inclusive environment
  • Assist in the implementation of evidence-based behavioural management strategies to enhance student outcomes
  • Conduct one-on-one or group sessions with students to address individual needs and goals
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create individualised education plans, ensuring student progress and achievement
  • Monitor and track student progress and behaviour, providing regular feedback and support
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Psychology or Sports Science, with a strong understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Experience working with children or young adults, with a focus on supporting students with diverse needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
Education:

Degree in Psychology or Sports Science, with a strong foundation in child development and learning theoriesExperience:

Experience working with children or young adults, with a focus on supporting students with diverse needs and abilitiesKnowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of evidence-based behavioural management strategies and their application in a school setting
  • Ability to create and implement individualised education plans, with a focus on student progress and achievement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, with a flexible and adaptable approach
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology or a related field, with a strong understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Experience in a school or educational setting, with a focus on supporting students with diverse needs and abilities
Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment with children and young adults, with a focus on providing support and promoting student outcomes. Temporary contract with the possibility of extension based on performance. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
