About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Account Manager to join our team at Myton Food Group, the manufacturing arm of Morrisons. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing our biggest retail customer, Morrisons, across all meat species.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong relationship-building skills, market analysis, and forecasting expertise. You will work closely with our production, operations, NPD, planning, supply chain, and sales teams to drive sales growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the retail account.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the retailer and Myton Food Group.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional activities to maximise sales and profitability.
  • Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive activity to inform strategy.
  • Forecast sales and manage the pipeline of opportunities to ensure targets are met.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to deliver budgets.
  • Identify growth opportunities within the account, including potential for new products or existing product development.
  • Manage the account's budget, including trade spend and promotional funding.
  • Monitor the financial health of the account, ensuring profitability and managing costs effectively.
About You
  • You have a strong background in retail sales or a related field.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You are a results-driven individual with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • You have a strong understanding of the meat industry and market trends.
