Junior Technician Job Description

The Peninsula London is seeking a skilled Junior Technician to assist in the maintenance and repair of Mechanical & Electrical equipment, fixtures, and fittings throughout the Hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure timely and efficient completion of Engineering maintenance requests to a high standard, adhering to established policies, procedures, and schedules.
  2. Participate in daily team briefings to maintain seamless communication and optimize operating performance.
  3. Monitor and control operating parameters of guest rooms and public area building services systems, reporting any deviations to the Director of Engineering.
  4. Collaborate with engineers and external contractors, interacting with other departments to provide additional or specialized guest services.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a similar environment.
  2. Trade certification or NVQ level Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  3. Good understanding of building services and relevant rules & regulations.
  4. Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on organization and attention to detail.
  5. This position requires flexibility to work night shifts based on operational needs.
