About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Sales and Installation Technician to work with environmental monitoring equipment, who enjoys diversity in their working week. No two days are the same and flexibility between peak periods and quieter times is necessary. You will get the chance to travel across the country, meeting customers and installing equipment.
We believe our Sales and Installation Technicians are vital to our business and have a real impact on our bottom line and to our customers' experience with Sunbelt Rentals. We look for people who are naturally great communicators and relationship builders, who really get to know their clients and are passionate about our business and all that we stand for, so they can really engage and build long-term relationships with our customers.
You will be able to build great relationships and harness those, in order to maximise opportunities. You'll be inquisitive and a creative thinker, able to generate leads from both our existing customer base and from new industries where our equipment could also be utilised. You'll also have a technical ability and hands-on approach to be able to install environmental monitoring equipment on customers' sites and be able to demonstrate the products to the customers. You will also support the customers with fault finding and minor repairs.
You may need to spend some nights away from home and accommodation will be made available for you. The hours can vary and on some occasions be unsociable, including weekends, a company vehicle will be provided for your job role.
About You
We will provide you with everything you need to succeed - excellent product training, professional development and support to progress your career in the future.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To have a technical ability and background that will enable you to carry out installations of environmental monitoring equipment, fault finding and some minor repair work on site and in the workshop.
- To have excellent communication skills, be confident in delivering product demonstrations and be able to prepare quotations and pay attention to detail.
- To be self-motivated and commercially astute.
- To be friendly, approachable and be a team player, liaising with other members of the team and suppliers.
- To support marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
- To be able to multi-task, be well organised and able to work under pressure.
- To have business acumen and be good in promotion and sales functions. You must be customer-oriented, recording and maintaining client contact data.
- To be able to translate technical jargon so that people can understand it, while managing and interpreting customer requirements.
- To have the ability to learn and build up technical knowledge about the different products and their applications, to a level where you can demonstrate and promote a range of environmental monitoring products.
- To have a UK Driving licence.
- Advantageous: First Aid Training, CSCS/IOSH/H&S Awareness.
