About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Connex Education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children in primary schools across Nottingham.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide general classroom support for pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2, facilitating learning through play and small group interventions for those who require additional help. You will work closely with the Class Teacher to promote the acquisition of learning goals and support the development of children's skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general classroom support for pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2
  • Facilitate learning through play and small group interventions
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher to promote learning goals
  • Support the development of children's skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Experience working in an educational environment with children aged 4-11
  • Ability to work on a 1:1 basis or in small groups with children
  • Behaviour management skills
  • Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc
  • Organisation and reliability
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to process a new one
