We're seeking a Team Captain to join our team at KP Snacks. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our production processes.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Empower Teams: Inspire and motivate a diverse team of production workers to achieve daily targets, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
  • Operational Coordination: Efficiently manage personnel planning, shift allocation, and team coordination to ensure seamless production flow, addressing unplanned absences and changes swiftly.
  • Support and Guidance: Act as the go-to resource for team members, offering advice and hands-on support while balancing team member duties with leadership responsibilities.
  • Health, Safety, and Compliance: Champion adherence to all health and safety standards, ensuring the well-being of the team and compliance with regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving: Lead shift handovers, oversee routine maintenance tasks (CILs), and proactively address issues, escalating complex challenges to senior leadership when necessary.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • No previous experience in line management is needed to be a Team Captain. This may be the first experience for someone to be a point person for a shift.
  • Experience in IWS and RTT DMS's required.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Encourages others with less experience or who need help.
  • Is positive even when under pressure.
  • Demonstrates personal responsibility.
  • Shows enthusiasm for learning.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and weekends, if required.
