Job Title: Hotel Engineering Superintendent

Job Summary:

MSC Cruises is a world-leading cruise company that prioritizes ocean protection and community engagement. As a Hotel Engineering Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vessels. Your responsibilities will include overseeing maintenance, leading maintenance teams, and advising on energy-saving efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure maintenance is performed according to company standards, environmental, and health regulations.
  • Lead and manage maintenance teams, establishing guidelines and protocols.
  • Oversee the planning of dry-dock works and manage ship requests for cost-effectiveness.
  • Advise the company on energy-saving efficiencies and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain daily contacts with Engine Officers on board and assist vessels in solving technical issues in the Hotel areas.
  • Work collaboratively with Engine Superintendents and manage all planned and unplanned jobs in the Hotel areas.

Requirements:

  • Fluent English, oral and written.
  • 5-year experience on board of cruise vessels, at least 2 years as a Hotel Engineer.
  • MS Office tools knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Good knowledge of Fidelio, MMS system. Amos knowledge is a plus.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and work effectively under tight deadlines.

VISA Requirements: Existing right to work in the UK is preferred.
