Job Title: Academic Support Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school in Wembley. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school environment, working closely with the SEN department to support the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.

About the Role:
  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in the preparation and delivery of lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring students are fully engaged and supported in their learning.
  • Individual and Group Support: Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
  • Resource Management: Help to organise resources, ensuring that all are prepared and available for lessons.
  • Enrichment Activities: Support the development and delivery of extracurricular activities, such as clubs, workshops, and field trips.
About You:
  • Graduate: A degree in relation to Maths, English, Science, Languages, Sport, Humanities preferred.
  • Experience with Children: Either working as a Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Sports Coach, Youth Worker or Support Worker.
  • Passionate: A strong interest in education and a desire to inspire young people.
  • Desirable: Previous experience working with young people, either in a teaching, tutoring, or mentoring capacity, would be advantageous but is not essential.
Salary Information:

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, based on a 37-hour workweek and 52 weeks per year.
