Job Summary

The Store Supervisor plays a vital role in assisting store management in delivering exceptional customer service, merchandising, and inventory management. They partner with the management team to prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly store objectives. The Store Supervisor is responsible for monitoring associate compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as adhering to Asset Protection standards. They assist in assigned projects and tasks to support service levels, including opening and closing the store.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Customer Service
  2. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by modeling CEL behaviors, redirecting associate behaviors to achieve store goals, and responding to customer requests and feedback with urgency.
  3. Ensure customers have a positive experience by maintaining DSW store standards, completing daily open/close tasks, and performing other duties as assigned.

Inventory Management

  1. Maximize sales and success by maintaining sales floor and stockroom, enabling the flow of merchandise to create an appealing consumer experience.
  2. Supervise and participate in inventory management activities, including freight receipt, placement, markdown, and MOOS.
  3. Responsible for omni activities, including Charge/Send, BOPIS/BOSTS, and Delivery.
  4. Leverage inventory reports to optimize productivity and merchandise presentation on the sales floor.
  5. Maintain supply inventory to ensure successful floor moves, markdowns, and fulfillment in stockroom, cashwrap, clearance, and non-sales areas.

Human Resources

  1. Collaborate with the store leadership team to understand and follow policy and procedure.
  2. Assist the Store Manager and other leaders in recruiting and interviewing candidates.
  3. Support team development by training, coaching, directing associates, and communicating feedback to the management team.
  4. Provide feedback to the Store Manager on associate performance and communicate associate relations issues for follow-up.
  5. Support team in managing payroll and associate timekeeping activities.
  6. Must have availability to meet business needs, including shifts outside traditional hours.
  7. Proficient in basic computer use, including Microsoft Office.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years retail experience.High school graduate or equivalent.
