Woodland Heritage Conservation Officer

At Conservationjobs, we are seeking a dedicated Woodland Heritage Conservation Officer to join our team in this exciting opportunity. This role is part of the Scottish Wildlife Trust Riverwoods: A Blueprint for River Woodland Recovery Project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF).
The successful candidate will focus on working with landowners, farmers, and communities to bring about the right woodland in the right place at the right scale. The key objective is to create a network of riparian woodland and healthy river systems throughout Scotland.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement woodland creation projects that meet the project's objectives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas suitable for woodland creation
- Conduct site assessments and develop proposals for woodland creation
We are looking for an individual with a degree in a relevant field, such as ecology, conservation, or forestry. Experience in woodland management and community engagement is essential.
The estimated salary for this role is £25,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
