Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in delivering single and two-stage tenders for our main contractor clients.

Responsibilities
  • Develop cost plans and budgets in alignment with the Bid Strategy, tailored for each construction project.
  • Collaborate with Surveying and Operational teams to formulate competitive tenders.
  • Engage with specialist contractors for competitive and precise costings.
  • Contribute to constructability and value engineering discussions.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to junior Estimating team members.
  • Generate or outsource Bills of Quantities as needed.
  • Participate in tender review and adjudication meetings.
  • Involvement in post-tender and tender interview meetings alongside senior team members.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • HNC/Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience as an Estimator, capable of taking on a £10m tender.
  • Residing within a commutable distance to Bedford.
