Choral Director Position

Vocalis, a well-established chamber choir in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Choral Conductor. The successful applicant will lead the choir in maintaining and improving its vocal standard, drawing on their expertise in vocal technique and previous experience directing similar adult choirs.

The successful candidate will work closely with the choir's committee to advise on theme, style, and repertoire for concert programmes, concert dates, and other aspects of the choir's activities. A key requirement is the ability to motivate and inspire the choir, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Prior experience of directing similar adult choirs.
  • Good keyboard skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a clear directing style.

Salary: Estimated at £45,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
