We are seeking an experienced Electrical Service Manager to join our national client, a leading player in the electrical contracting industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and driving business growth.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing electrical services, repairs, installation, and maintenance programmes. They will also oversee negotiations with clients, customers, sub-contractors, and suppliers, ensuring that all contracts are executed efficiently and effectively.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have previous experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager or similar position. They should hold relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds IET Regulations BS7671 (Current Version), City & Guilds 2394 & 2395 or 2391 Testing and Inspection, and City & Guilds 2360 Pt. 1 & Pt. 2, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. A Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card is also required if applicable.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and persuade stakeholders.
  • Ability to weigh up and articulate risk and benefit, and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, sufficient to perform job functions.
  • Prioritise workload to achieve deadlines and effectively manage time with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent time keeping and attendance.
  • A concern for accuracy and paying careful attention to detail.
  • Planning and organising; strategic use of time and resources to ensure works are completed efficiently.
  • IT literate, with experience using Microsoft software packages.
Preferred Experience

Candidates with managerial experience of supervisors and engineers, negotiation experience with clients and customers, and continued personal development within the electrical industry are highly desirable. A full UK clean driving licence and mobile phone usage are also essential components of this role.

This is a primarily mobile role, requiring travel across the country. Applicants should consider this aspect carefully before applying. The company offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including equipment provision from Axis Europe and a clean DBS check.
