Witney, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom Abbott Full time

At Abbott, we're committed to advancing the future of Diabetes Care technologies. As a Project Lead, you'll play a key role in shaping our innovative solutions.

Our Technical Services team is a multi-disciplinary function that forms part of the Witney Operations Organisation. The key responsibilities of the Technical Services team include supporting strip and sensor manufacturing, on-market product, process and/or material changes and transfer of new products and materials from R&D into Operations.

In this role, you'll manage small to medium-sized technical projects, including all stages of planning, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation. You'll also maintain all relevant project documentation, including project plans, schedule/work breakdown structures, meeting minutes, and reports, providing progress updates to teams as appropriate.

One of the key aspects of the role will be to develop and implement a set of best practices and guidelines for on-market Material changes working with material experts and cross-functional teams, ensuring efficient and consistent approaches across an increasing number of important business initiatives, while maintaining adherence to Abbott Quality Policies and Procedures.

To be successful, you'll bring experience from a project-based role, with a good understanding and experience of applying project management methodologies. An advanced level of education is required, along with strong skills in the MS Office space, with experience in MS Project preferable. Experience in product development, manufacturing, or a scientific environment is required; exposure to a regulated environment is desirable but not essential.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to work within a small team, but also interact on a wider business scale, leading and influencing where necessary. You'll need to have excellent communication and time management skills, attention to detail, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing, and dynamic environment.

We're looking for someone who is excited about the thought of joining a team at the forefront of Diabetes Care innovation, and working in a fantastic modern and innovative environment.

In addition to a competitive salary, Abbott offers a highly attractive benefits package, which includes a defined-contribution pension scheme, a share ownership scheme, private healthcare, life assurance, and a flexible benefits scheme which you can tailor to your own requirements.
