Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Engineer to create production engineering work instructions for mechanical fitters, develop jigs and tooling for mechanical fitters to use in the strip down and rebuild of mechanical engineering assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create production engineering work instructions for mechanical fitters
  • Develop jigs and tooling for mechanical fitters to use in the strip down and rebuild of mechanical engineering assemblies
  • Improve strip down and rebuild processes
  • Contribute to process improvement and lead continuous improvement
  • Bring the Production Engineering skillset to the team, including process improvement, development of production engineering tooling and assembly jigs
Requirements
  • Qualified engineer with an apprenticeship, HNC, HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering
  • Experience as a Production Engineer, preferably in a hands-on role supporting mechanical fitters and mechanical engineers
  • Ability to read CAD drawings and create production engineering CAD drawings for assembly tooling and jigs
