Job Title: Legal Cashier

We are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join our team at ACS Recruitment Solutions. As a Legal Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our finance department.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile client and business bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SRA Account Rules.
  • Monitor the banking system for electronic payments, including CHAPS, BACs, and FPC transactions.
  • Process client and business payments, including CHAPS transactions and other electronic payments.
  • Check and arrange foreign payments as required.
  • Identify, allocate, and post incoming electronic and manual receipts.
  • Bank business and client account receipts.
  • Calculate and apply client interest where due.
  • Process credit and debit card payments.
  • Deal with internal and external enquiries.
  • Make payments from petty cash and reconcile petty cash.
  • Filing and general administration duties.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience as a Legal Cashier on the client side.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent qualification.
  • Numerate.
  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy with work.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Team player.
  • Knowledge of Partner for Windows.
