Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a stunning elderly care home in Harwich. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional personal care and attention to residents, following individual care plans and ensuring all contact is polite, friendly, warm, and supportive.
  • Act as a key worker for a named group of residents, ensuring their responsibilities are carried out in full.
  • Participate in the formulation and maintenance of individual care plans for each resident and administer medication as prescribed, accurately maintaining records.
  • Supervise and support the care team, promoting a culture of trust, respect, and care, and ensuring each team member treats residents with dignity and respect.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years' experience in a residential care or nursing home environment.
  • Ideal NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, QCF, or equivalent.
  • Medication experience is essential.
  • Supervisory and leadership skills, with a willingness to develop new skills.
