About the Role

Sonovision UK - Ortec Group is a leading provider of technical publications, computer-based training, and integrated logistic support services to global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) across various sectors.

We are seeking a skilled Technical Author to join our team and contribute to the production and updating of technical documentation for the nuclear power industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and update technical documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, receipt inspections, and commissioning procedures.
  • Work alongside a team of project engineers, technical authors, CAD technicians, and document controllers to create and maintain documentation needs for on-site project teams.
  • Support weekly reporting functions, including attending progress meetings with stakeholders across the business.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience within a nuclear engineering environment.
  • Good understanding of engineering data in various formats, from engineering drawings to design reports.
  • Adequate competency using different software packages for planning and reporting purposes.
  • Pro-active thinker with the ability to provide potential solutions.
  • Ability to track production of tasks from conception to completion.
  • Drive and enthusiasm to achieve customer quality criteria.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and adhere to schedules.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Current CTC or SC Clearance an advantage.
