Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Biomedical Scientist to lead our quality and accreditation efforts in the Adult and Paediatric Histopathology and MFT Mortuaries at Oxford Road Campus and Wythenshawe. As an Advanced Biomedical Scientist Quality & Accreditation Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing departmental compliance with UKAS ISO 15189 standards and supporting the transition to ISO 15189: 2022.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain management system procedures to support continuous improvements aligned with updated accreditation standards.
  • Ensure all equipment documentation is up-to-date and maintained to acceptable standards.
  • Report, investigate, and action errors, hazards, and incidents promptly.
  • Supervise and perform complex investigations, ensuring the highest scientific standards and valid results interpretation.
