Senior SDET Test Engineer Job Description

IdentityE2E is seeking a highly skilled Senior SDET Test Engineer to join our engineering team. As a Senior SDET, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement automation test strategies to support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define test plans, and build effective test automation solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
  • Enforce best practices in test automation, test-driven development (TDD), and behavior-driven development (BDD).
  • Ensure high test coverage and performance efficiency across multiple platforms and environments.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and contribute to improving overall code quality and standards.
  • Debug complex problems and drive resolutions with a deep understanding of both product functionality and software design.
  • Mentor and guide junior SDETs and QA engineers on best practices in test automation, TDD, and BDD.
  • Stay updated with emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in test automation and quality assurance.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as an SDET, Test Engineer, or related role with a focus on automation.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Proficient in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, including TDD, BDD, and continuous testing.
  • Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems (Git, Bitbucket) and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with testing tools such as selenium, cucumber, JMeter, Locust, AXE, and OWasp ZAP.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with security testing and test data management.
