Diagnostic World, a leading provider of NHS and private healthcare services, is seeking an experienced Echocardiogram Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality echocardiogram services to patients across England.

Job Summary

This challenging yet rewarding role requires a BSc (Hons) degree holder with extensive knowledge of cardiology and experience in performing adult transthoracic echocardiograms. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently conducting echocardiograms, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms in line with BSE minimum data set and local reporting guidelines.
  • Maintain and calibrate the equipment used to perform diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Ensure quality assurance checks on equipment and take appropriate action.
  • Submit reports and archive study images in accordance with contractual requirements and local SOPs.
  • Liaise with hospital departments and GP practices for urgent clinical referrals.
Person Specification
  • Hold a relevant BSc (Hons) degree.
  • Hold or be working towards BSE accreditation.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
  • Have extensive knowledge of cardiology.
  • Be able to provide evidence of CPD.

We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
