Job Summary

We are seeking a Programme Lead Engineer to join our team in St Leonards-on-Sea. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the next generation of avionic mission computing systems. You will have overall technical execution of the project/programme from initial planning through delivery and transfer to manufacturing and integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver avionic mission computing systems that meet customer requirements and expectations
  • Lead a team of engineers to achieve product quality and technical scope within cost and schedule constraints
  • Manage the engineering team to ensure a through life perspective is taken in the development and management of the Systems, Equipment, People, and Process
  • Collaborate with customers to elicit the latest requirements and overcome engineering challenges
  • Apply focus to maintain and improve system performance and delivery

Requirements

  • Good understanding of the challenges associated with Avionic System engineering
  • Demonstrable leadership competence with an ability to influence individuals
  • Demonstrable breadth and depth of experience/competence across multiple engineering disciplines (Systems Engineering, Hardware Development, Software Development, Safety Engineering, Support Engineering, etc.)
  • Demonstrable ability to think at the systems level and innovate
  • High levels of motivation, integrity, and professionalism
  • Flexibility, innovation, and commitment to delivery

What We Offer

  • Starting salary of between £62,400 - £78,000
