Assistant Construction Site Lead

Job Title: Assistant or Site Manager
About the JobWe are currently seeking an experienced Assistant or Site Manager to join our construction site management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our construction sites, ensuring that they are run efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities- Day-to-Day Operations: Assist the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development site, including supervising site staff and ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.
- Health and Safety: Assist in the implementation and management of health and safety procedures, working closely with our Health and Safety Managers to ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Staff Management: Manage directly employed site staff, providing training, coaching, and support to improve their performance and contribute to the overall success of the site.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all work carried out on the site meets the required standards and is completed to a high level of quality.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports and health and safety records.
- Experience: Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager with a high-volume residential house builder.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
- Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures.
- GCSEs: GCSE Maths and English – Grade C/4 or above.
- Certifications: Valid CSCS card, SSSTS certificate, First Aid certificate, and Scaffold Appreciation certificate (desirable).
- Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve problems promptly and efficiently.
- Flexibility: Willingness to be flexible in respect to day-to-day duties and hours worked.
- Outdoor Work: Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
- Travel: Ability to travel to development sites.
- Salary: Competitive salary (£55,000 - £65,000 per annum)
