Product Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to lead our Open Banking efforts in the UK and EU. This is a critical role in achieving our business goals and requires a collaborative individual who can work closely with Engineers, Designers, Operations, and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Define and Develop Open Banking Strategy: Identify unmet industry needs and disruption opportunities, guiding interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative products to market.
  2. Establish Agile Methodologies: Establish or participate in Design Thinking, Agile, and LEAN rituals which establish rhythm for the team, promote ongoing communication, and iterative refinement of roadmaps.
  3. Drive Product Development: Document clear user stories and acceptance criteria to collaborate, direct, and inform Design and Technology resources in quick sprint increments.
  4. Make Build-vs-Buy Decisions: Drive build-vs-buy decisions in our product development process, combing the landscape for potential Fintech partners in various stages of maturity.
  5. Define KPIs and Track Performance: Define learning agenda and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success/failure.
  6. Use Data to Drive Decision Making: Regularly and systematically use data to uncover opportunities, track product performance, and drive decision making.
  7. Orchestrate Successful Launch or Optimization: Prioritize, negotiate and remove blockers to orchestrate successful launch or optimization cycle.
  8. Contribute to Thought Leadership: Serve as subject matter expert, contributing practitioner, thought leader, career guide and mentor to teams.
  9. Interface with Clients: Direct interface with clients and where appropriate participate in client pitches.

Requirements:

  1. Proven Experience in Product Management: Proven experience in and passion for building and shipping great products.
  2. Open Banking Expertise: Interest and experience in regulatory and technical topics surrounding open banking and SCA in the UK and EU. Your experience comes from working at an ASPSP, AISP, PISP, or other OB industry player.
  3. Cash Management Knowledge: An understanding of Cash Management needs for Corporate clients and how web and mobile interfaces can be leveraged by clients.
  4. Agile Methodologies: Experience working with Agile Methodologies.
  5. Exceptional Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills- someone who is an engaging storyteller and is at ease presenting to executives.
  6. Creative Problem Solving: Creative problem solver who lives at the intersection of Human, Business and Technology dimensions. Deep fluency and experience in at least two of these dimensions, with solid understanding of the third.
  7. Strategic and Tactical Thinking: Blend of both strategic and tactical thinking- someone who can identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts, and then organize thematic work areas in deep detail, thus aligning long term vision with iterative execution.
  8. Collaborative Attitude: Collaborative, team player attitude with the ability to navigate and influence the organization.
  9. Familiarity with Goldman Sachs: Familiarity with Goldman Sachs and our business goals.
