About the Role:



This 3rd line Support Engineer position plays a pivotal role within the IT team, providing day-to-day support for technical infrastructure, managing and maintaining various technology platforms, and ensuring escalated support issues are handled efficiently.



You will be responsible for optimizing operational efficiency of the business technology, improving the client and staff experience, and ensuring company-wide systems are maintained, current, secure, and optimal to provide reliable IT services.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Responsibility for the Azure Platform, including changes, documentation of configuration, and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for the technical planning and configuration of MS platforms, including but not limited to; M365, Teams, Intune, AAD, Defender, Purview, SharePoint.
  • Maintaining regular Windows patching for the server estate.
  • Maintaining regular backups for the server estate and coordinating scheduled restores.
  • Providing insight into systems performance, ensuring that all business systems have necessary availability, reliability, and capacity.
  • Supporting network configuration and equipment within each office to provide services such as VPN, WIFI, and endpoint protection.
  • Following IT security and risk management processes to mitigate potential risks and ensure exposure is minimal.
  • Regularly reviewing configuration and access controls to ensure appropriate standards are met and maintained.
  • Ensuring that all systems are up to date, working with suppliers to identify interoperability risks and upgrade benefits are documented, shared, and implemented as appropriate.
  • Creating and maintaining IT documentation.

  • Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing)
