Job Description

The ODP/Scrub Nurse plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in the theatre setting. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team at Vision Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the theatre setting, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
  • Assist with surgical procedures, collaborating closely with the surgical team.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments, adhering to infection prevention control protocols.
  • Monitor patients during surgery, making critical decisions quickly and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Theatre Practitioner or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Ophthalmology experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care principles.
  • Ability to analyze situations and make critical decisions under pressure.
