Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Team Lead to join our team at Wokingham Hospital. This is a part-time (4 days per week) role with free parking, working specifically for the Children in Care service within CAMHS. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading administration for the team, supporting clinicians in sending out correspondence and booking appointments.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, observational, and reporting skills, able to deal with sensitive and challenging phone calls. They will also be confident in IT skills and using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, with accurate typing skills.

Main Duties
  • Leading admin for the team, you will support our clinicians in sending out correspondence and booking appointments. You will answer emails and telephone calls, following up actions where required.
  • You will need to be experienced in taking minutes at meetings, diary management, and confident in using the full Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • You will also be required to work on your own initiative and demonstrate a willingness to help others as a key member of the team.
  • The ability to build effective relationships, with a flexible approach to work is essential.
  • You will be expected to be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines in order to fulfill the requirements of the post.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • NVQ4 or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Knowledge of administration and/or office procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of working in a busy office and/or customer care environment, undertaking a full range of administrative duties and supervision and management of staff/work.
Salary and Benefits

This role comes with a competitive salary of approximately £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive 27 days' annual leave rising with service, plus opportunity to buy and sell. You will also be entitled to a generous NHS pension scheme and access to a range of wellbeing tools and services.
