Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Associate Solicitor to join our award-winning Dispute Resolution department, specializing in Contentious Trusts and Probate.

The successful candidate will handle a full range of matters, including advising on the removal of executors and trustees, defending claims by beneficiaries, Power of Attorney disputes, court of protection, and succession disputes.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience running a complex caseload of contentious trust and probate matters, with a strong technical ability, commercial acumen, and a passion for business development.

The role involves working closely with the Head of Department on business development opportunities, requiring an aptitude for networking and generating leads.

The Candidate

  • Contentious Trusts & Probate Lawyer with 1-5 years post-qualification experience
  • A member of STEP or ACTAPS would be highly advantageous
  • Strong technical ability, commercial acumen, and a passion for business development
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload of trust and probate cases from inception to resolution
  • Ability to work within a team to develop and grow the department
  • Demonstrated success in high-value and complex cases
  • Strong academic profile
