Risk Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our team at WR Logistics. As a Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in elevating our company's approach to risk management, ensuring the safe and effective operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage, and oversee the fleet's risk management strategy, ensuring effective risk management tools and processes are in place.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the fleet risk register, identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to the fleet's safe operation.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and clients, understanding their needs and providing expert risk management advice.
  • Continuously review and identify risks and opportunities affecting the fleet, monitoring and alerting management on developing risks.
  • Provide leadership and act as the subject matter expert for risk management within the fleet management team.
  • Identify training needs and provide coaching to develop the fleet management team's capability to manage risk.
  • Develop and maintain processes for KPI monitoring and tracking to improve fleet standards and performance.
  • Interact with key partners to ensure the fleet risk strategy is coordinated within the ecosystem.
  • Develop and implement effective risk reporting processes to provide oversight of risk exposure.
  • Support the development of a safety culture throughout the organization.
Requirements:
  • University degree in a field related to risk management or a similar field.
  • Minimum five years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the shipping industry.
  • Proactive, self-starter with excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience in identifying risks according to ISO 31000 standard.
  • Digital management platform awareness and openness.
  • Confident decision-making based on data analysis and statistics.
  • Detail-oriented and structured working manner.
