Job Title: Senior Ecologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join our team at Appletons. As a Senior Ecologist, you will be responsible for delivering ecological services in relation to a range of large and small projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in ecology, nature, conservation, and biodiversity.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver ecological services in relation to large and small projects
* Conduct Phase 1 and 2 Habitat (NVC) Surveys with assessments in accordance with UKHabitat methodologies
* Produce maps and reports
* Conduct Ecological Impact Assessments to standard methodologies
* Conduct protected species surveys
* Hold a minimum Level 1 bat licence
* Experience using DEFRA Metrics/BNG would be an advantage

Requirements:

* Environmental related degree
* Membership of CIEEM
* Commercially competent
* Willingness to expand project management within the practice
