About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at the Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospital, University College London Hospital (UCLH). As an Expert Voice Therapist for ENT Hospital, you will play a crucial role in delivering a specialist SLT outpatients service for adults and children with voice, upper airway, and swallow disorders.

The post is based within the Speech and Language ENT Team, where you will be responsible for assessing and managing adult and paediatric patients with dysphonia. You will develop rehabilitation plans for voice, upper airway, and swallow, and participate in clinics for dysphagia assessment and management.

You will also deliver patient education seminars as designated by the Team Lead, participate in CPD, and help organize activities as required. Additionally, you will develop and carry out service development projects as agreed with your line manager.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • HCPC licence to practise and eligibility for the full RCSLT register
  • BSc. Speech Path or equivalent (including Dip. CST)

Experience

Prior experience in assessing and treating voice disorders, as well as knowledge of clinical governance programmes, will be highly advantageous.

Communication & Customer Care

You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication, negotiation skills, and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

Salary

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
