Job Description
Safran Landing Systems is a world leader in aircraft landing and braking systems, contributing to safer and more sustainable aviation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe upkeep and reliability of production assets used in the manufacturing of aircraft parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of our equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings to identify spare parts and diagnose issues.
- Document and prioritize work through our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Work safely and adhere to our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) standards and policies.
Requirements
- Mandatory:
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, including assembly and schematics.
- Experience working as part of a team and independently.
- Fabrication and fitting skills, with a focus on bench-fitting.
- Experience using a CMMS and working safely.
- Preferred:
- Time-served engineering maintenance apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3).
- Experience working with furnaces, NDT equipment, or surface finish equipment.
- Electrical experience or qualification.
- HNC in mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge of lean, 5S, and 6 Sigma methodologies.
