Senior Clinical Veterinarian Role

We are seeking a skilled veterinary professional to join our team as a Clinical Veterinarian. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where you can make a significant impact on human and animal health.

The post holder will provide technical support for all clinical procedures performed at the Animal Welfare and Veterinary Services Department. This includes providing peri-operative surgical support for the veterinary team to ensure high standards of animal care and welfare are always maintained.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support veterinary surgeons in relevant clinical work and provision of laboratory animal medical and surgical care.
  2. Liaise with animal care and welfare officers to ensure company policies and practices regarding animal care and welfare are in compliance with regulations.
  3. Assist in training and supervision of staff on regulated procedures, including anaesthesia and surgery.

Requirements:

  • Veterinary nurse or experienced animal technician with evidence of anaesthesia and/or surgery experience.
  • Familiarity with laboratory animals and small and large animal species used in research environments.
  • Able to work in a laboratory setting with laboratory animals.

Benefits:

This role comes with a competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including enhanced pension contributions, private healthcare, and opportunities for professional development.
