About the Role

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEND and SEMH needs to enhance their educational experience.
  • Build positive relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Assist students with behavioral difficulties and special needs to regulate their behavior and engage in education.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Monitor and report student progress to teachers and other support staff.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Passion for improving the outcomes for young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Outgoing and confident individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Desirable qualifications include Team Teach and experience in dealing with young people who have SEMH needs, ASC, or ADHD.
