About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Scrap Metal Trader to join our team as an Overnight Trader. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for visiting new leads and existing customers, developing strong and lasting relationships, and managing the full buying process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visit new leads and existing customers 3 days a week to develop strong and lasting relationships
• Manage the full buying process, negotiating the best prices and ensuring high-quality supply
• Overnight stays may be required to attend to customer needs
• Travel and stay overnight when necessary to secure deals
• Utilize strong numeracy skills to manage inventory and finances
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word to maintain accurate records and reports
• Strong networking and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers and colleagues

Requirements:

• Proven track record in metal trading with a passion for building relationships and securing deals
• Good numeracy skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong networking and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel and stay overnight when necessary
